Busy.  No bones about it.  Photography ideas abound and got a chance to do a little shoot with my favorite model a few weekends ago.  More images can be found here Sara-Hudson-Photography on Facebook  and I hope to have some more shoots some artistic like that one and some portraits coming in the next month or so.

Wilem is doing well in school.  He got his last midterm report card, all S's, the other day.  I cannot believe he is almost finished with 2nd grade.  It has been an awesome year.   His last day will be June 7th.  A few days earlier than the rest of his class as they decided in March or April not sure when to change the last day to the 11th, and we had already planned to take part in the family reunion happening the 8th - 10th in Ashville, NC.  He and I are excited and looking forward to seeing everyone.

With Spring comes my urge to garden and my outside projects have begun.

The brick work has weeds so am going to try a natural recipe for weed killer consisting of  vinegar, tad of dish soap and water (though I have heard straight vinegar will do the trick).  Anyone interested should be cautioned that this does kill anything not just weeds.

I am working on  sprouting seedlings to have a few veggies and new herbs growing.  Hoping those take and I can have some tomatoes this year, and peppers, as well as some pumpkins and sage and echinacea.  Would love more, but only have time for a few.  If I can manage this, I can add more next year.

I was excited to see that a fern I planted last year on the opposite side of the central air unit than my fern garden has come up.  It looked last year like it had died a week after I planted so I was pleased to find it thriving with growth just the other week.  My original fern garden is thriving again this year and I added a new fern that is doing very well.  Everything still looks a mess as I need to get a few more leaves out of the beds, weed and mulch yet, but I am slowly working on it all when I have the time.

I had a root canal last week.  Not a pleasant experience, and if at all possible I don't recommend it :)  I will be glad to never have another in my lifetime.

Have finished reading A Wind in the Door to Wilem and have started on A Swiftly Tilting Planet.  He is enjoying following the Murry's adventures.  Not sure if I will read them all to him, or stop after this one and let him pursue the remaining on his own.  He has so many series he is interested in going already.

Not much else new with us.  Hope all of you are enjoying the warmer weather.
